construction of a high-end block of 20 apartments and 2 shopping areas
Construction of an apartment block on the Le Cadran St Séverin site in the heart of Liege.
The site’s particular feature lies in the need to revitalise the quarter following the major wounds inflicted in the 1970’s. The site is to the right of an existing underground car park and a railway tunnel, with a large part of the building covering the latter. The materials used for the facades tie in with the Liege’s heritage city centre: stone, rendering, glass and white lacquered panels.
A hybrid construction has been used, with the ground shell made entirely of reinforced concrete and the upper floors of sand-lime bricks. The roofs are of zinc.
The building is HQE-certified.
