Green Solutions Awards 2019
On 4 October 2019, Construction21 and CAP Construction revealed the Belgian winners of the Green Solutions Awards 2019. Winners and partners took part in the award ceremony at the Cercle du Lac in Louvain-La-Neuve.
In the “Green Building” category, ALTIPLAN°, together with the Atelier de l’Arbre d’Or, won the “Grand Prix Green Renovation” for its Centre Perex project in Daussoulx.
Nine in total, the winning projects now come up against the winners from the other countries, also in the running for the international final. The final (international) awards will be presented on 4 November at the Batimat trade fair in Paris.
Presentation of “L’espace Marexhe” in Herstal in the context of the training course for Regional Development and Planning Consultants
In the context of the training course for CPDT Regional Development and Planning Consultants (Conseillers en Aménagement du Territoire et Urbanisme or CATUs for short), ALTIPLAN° took part in a visit to and presentation of their “L’espace Marexhe” project in Herstal. Devoted to public spaces, the course was centred on recent research work carried out by the CPDT (Wallonia’s Regional Development Agency) and resulting in a vade mecum of public spaces in Wallonia.

City 2 Shopping Centre
Inauguration of City 2 presented by Serge Fautré, CEO from AG Real Estate and in the presence of the mayor of Brussels, Philippe Close and municipal councillor in charge of the Economic Affairs, Fabian Maingain.
Inauguration of the “Le Grand Pré” resthome in Wépion
In the presence of the mayor of Namur, Maxime Prévot, the “Le Grand Pré” rest home in Wépion was inaugurated on 6 September. The project involved the upgrading of the home to the latest standards and the construction of two new wings.
Agora in Louvain-la-Neuve
The 4 years of construction work on the new “Agora” residential and hotel complex in the middle of Louvain-la-Neuve have now come to an end.

Die Berggärten – Application for a building permit filed on 27 March 2019
Designed by ALTIPLAN, Pierre&Nature and Convents, this property development project flanks a public park in the centre of Eupen. The 56 premium apartments in three separate buildings offer views over the park and the city.
Equipped with large patios and letting in as much light as possible, the 1-, 2- and 3-room apartments have been meticulously designed to offer maximum comfort to their future occupants.
The project is part of the City of Eupen’s drive to bring life back into the neighbourhood and create links between the neighbourhoods surrounding the park.
Inauguration of the refurbished ONSS headquarters in Brussels
Designed to a NWOW (new ways of working) standard, the inauguration of the refurbished ONSS headquarters in Brussels took place on 25 February 2019. Federal Minister of Social Affairs, Public Health, Asylum and Migration, Maggie De Block, and Kris Peeters, Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Employment, the Economy and Consumers, in charge of Foreign Trade, both praised the work done by the ALTIPLAN° architects – COLLIERS & CONCEPT CONTROL consortium for the design and execution of the project of which we are so proud!

STIB Marly bus depot
STIB is planning the construction of a new Marly Bus depot in the north of the Brussels Region for garaging and performing maintenance on its new generation of hybrid/electric buses.
The architectural design and technical studies for this major infrastructure and building project with its high environmental requirements have been entrusted to ALTIPLAN° architects and Tractebel Engineering. Management of all functions and interfaces is being done throughout the design and build phases via specific systems engineering and BIM design tools.
