Saint-Joseph Resthome

reconditioning and compliance work involving a former rest home

Reconditioning and compliance work at the former Saint-Joseph resthome in order to provide it with 200 beds (rest/rest & care).  Work has been carried out in several phases to allow the greatest possible number of rooms to remain in use during the work.
Main options:
•    upgrading from 120 to 200 beds, plus work to ensure full site compliance
•    creation of three levels on the two existing floors in order to avoid devaluing the site by building a new wing
•    improving the building’s insulation value to K40
•    installation of efficient sun blinds, energy management
•    use of recycled and recyclable construction material
•    phased working
•    reorganisation and optimisation of traffic and flows
•    installation of “smart” electrical equipment (movement detectors, cells, etc.)
